The weekly highlights show for Big East basketball will feature none other than Marquette coach Tom Crean and yours truly at our legendary meeting a couple weeks ago at the Garden, where we both looked at one another and realized we were separated at birth.
It's on MSG at 5:30 p.m. today, according to Sam Albano, producer/director/editor and one of Best's buddies from his St. John's days. Oh, and in case you're wondering, Sam is no relation to the former wrestling manager, Lou Albano.
And in case you haven't read this blog in, oh, say the last five minutes, Crean is 4-1 since we met, his only loss a painful overtime defeat at home to Georgetown. The Golden Eagles had a chance to close it out in regulation, but a foul on a three-point try allowed G'town to send the game into OT.
We are fully expecting a rematch in the Big East tournament.
Go get 'em, coach Crean.
