Giants not worried about Trent Green's head ...

... but they do have concerns about his arm. His throwing arm.green.jpg

The Giants are looking for a veteran backup behind Eli Manning, and Green, released by the Dolphins in a massive salary cap purge, is on their list of potential acquisitions.

Green has been cleared to return from a second serious concussion, although the Giants would complete their own evaluation when they're ready to chat with Green. The bigger concern, I'm told, is whether Green has sufficient arm strength to deal with the swirling winds at Giants Stadium.

If - and only if - the Giants are satisfied with his arm strength, they'll seriously consider signing him.

I think a factor for Green coming here is that even if he doesn't get any playing time he'll be in a big market making it easier for him to get a future job with the media as an NFL studio analyst. Hey if Tim Hasselbeck can do it...........

Fair points, CMG, although I suspect Green is more concerned about getting his best football gig and leaving the tv stuff to the future. This guy just wants to keep playing.
