Big toe injury might cost Jonathan Stewart in draft

Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart is considered one of the top prospects in the draft, but the NFL Network's Mike Mayock reports that a turf toe condition might require surgery that could keep Stewart out 4-6 months. That has major ramifications on his draft status, although it's not inconceivable a team might still take him reasonably high in the first round, knowing he could miss some time. Remember, the Bills took running back Willis McGahee in the first round (23rd overall) in 2003, even though a knee injury kept him out his entire rookie season.
