Best was marveling at how 90-year-old Don Pardo has more energy than he does. Well, how about his one: Thanks to Black N Gold, we've found a professional hockey player who is only one year younger than Best ... and is STILL PLAYING.
Chris Chelios of the Red Wings is 46!!! When we did a look-a-like of Chelios and Oscar winner Javier Bardem, we thought Chelios was retired.
Nope. Still going strong.
Maybe Best is 48 by now. Whatever. He loves hockey, though, and I'm sure even he has to be impressed that Chelios is still at it. Not only that, but he's a plus 11, for goodness sake!
I'm sure Mr. Minutiae will find some interesting little tidbit about Chelios. Maybe something Cornell-related. Chelios went to Wisconsin, but surely must have inflicted some sort of harm on Best's beloved Cornell team. Who knows. Maybe Best threw back a few beers watching a Wisconsin-Big Red game in which Chelios played.
