I realize I might be treading on Neil Best's territory here, what with recognizing a media person who is also stuck in Milwaukee. But I just saw Channel 9 sportscaster Russ Salzberg walk by. Join the crowd, bud. 
Russ has been covering the Giants for years, probably as long as I have. He was the one who once asked a question of Ray Handley that prompted Handley to walk out of a press conference. Actually, Russ never got to ask the entire question.
Handley was growing impatient about questions surrounding Jeff Hostetler after he was injured in a game against Tampa Bay. Everyone wanted to know whether Handley would keep Hostetler as his starter once he recovered from his back injury, or whether Handley would go with Phil Simms.
"Ray, when Hoss heals ..." Salzberg began. He got no further. Handley got up, turned around, and walked out of the room.
UPDATE: The plane that was diverted when the airport closed has taken off from Grand Rapids, Michigan and is due here in about an hour. Only one problem. The captain has gone over his allotted time limit and we'll need another one. They'll let us know when he arrives.
My over-under on walking in the door and kissing the wife and kids is 1 a.m. I'm taking the over.
