Rather than wait until the end of the week, let's get this thing rolling by opening up the polls for your picks in Sunday's AFC and NFC Championship Games.
Winner and score, please. An explanation if you so desire. We'll be back later in the week with our picks.
I've listed the standings from the divisional round, but even if you didn't predict the games from last week, give 'er a go for the Championship round. BBiB! will keep score once more.
Oh, and in case you're just arriving as a link from Matt Mosley's terrific blog on ESPN.com, welcome aboard. Matt does an awesome job, and is a great guy, to boot.

Packers 35- Giants 17
Similar to last week's predictions and game, the Giants will have a hard time scoring on the Packer defense. This could be more of a blowout than even predicted here. Green Bay is playing better than they did 10 years ago when they won the NFC championship two years in a row. I predict the Giants secondary will not be able to keep up with the receivers of Green Bay, who will bring out 4 and 5 wide outs at a time. The Giants will have to game plan to stop the run or the pass, but they will be unable to do both. Jacobs will not be able to run the ball on the Pickett fence. The Giants receivers can be neutralized by the Packers corners.
If the Giants want advice how to beat the Packers? Run play actions and get Bigby and Collins to try to cover the receiver. That has plagued Green Bay all year.
Patriots 38-Chargers 21 Even if LT, Rivers, and Gates play, I don't see them winning this game or even playing even with the Pats.
Chargers 14 Patriots 27
Giants 7 Packers 34
Random guess.
Giants 23 Packers 20...Since weather will be a huge factor, the Giants will have to run the ball and control the clock and keep Farve off the field
Patriots 37 Chargers 17...ditto on the weather...cant see the Chargers being competitive with Rivers and Tomlinson questionable
I always pick these things with my heart, not my head, so I'm going with:
Chargers 31, Patriots 21
and
Packers 48, Giants 12. Jughead throws four interceptions and generally plays like the punk he is.
NYG 20 GB 17
I have only once in my life picked the actual score of a game correctly. It was last year when I was in GB for the Jets game. My buddy (Ravens fan) asked what I expected - I said Jets 38 Pack 10, and so it was. Love that town and the fans. Very friendly. By far my favorite road trip. Oh, was I supposed to explain my pick? Giants have that karma destiny thing going.
NE 35 SD 24
I say SD covers but that's all.
Chargers 24 Pats 23
On the last play of the game, Gostkowski attempts a 47 yd. field goal that appears to go over the left upright. The refs on the field call it no good and there isn't enough evidence to overturn upon further review. The perfect season is over in such a controversial fashion that people will forever debate whether the kick was actually good. Did the Immaculate Reception touch Frenchy Fuqua? Did the "Missed it By This Much" field goal attempt actually cross directly over the upright? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootise Roll Tootsie Pop? The world may never know.
Packers 27 Giants 17
Bob's notebook freezes and he proceeds to finally make good on his promise to eat it by turning it into a slushie.
Pats 31 - SD 14
GB 27 - NYG 14
doing the Giants fans a favor here and picking against them...
appreciate the bold letters Bob...I bet if NKR took a bagel on the first round you wouldn't make a big deal out of it....why is that?
I always liked Tiki...but I seem to be especially happy that the Giants are having so much success without him...especially after the way he finished up with them.
Was there even one FORMER Jet playing last week?
Okay.... Kyle Brady....one of the all-time greats
Hook:
We're here to please, buddy.
Pats - 34 Bolts - 13
Pack - 27 Giants - 13
