One day into the New Year, and we're on a roll ...

As Neil Best has so ably taught us in the blogosphere, never pass up an opportunity at self promotion. Then again, if I'd mentioned every radio or television appearance a la Best, there wouldn't be much space left on this blog. (In fact, as we speak, we've just concluded an appearance on ESPN2's First Take.)

But we digress.

It's Day One of 2008, and we're on the back page of Newsday with a column about Eli Manning's quest for validation as an NFL quarterback. He has that chance - again - on Sunday afternoon in Tampa Bay. Let's see what he does with it.

As New York Post columnist Steve Serby always likes to say at a time like this, "Time to step up."

Happy New Year, everyone. Good luck, be well, enjoy the people who mean the most to you.

Cheers.

(Back later with final Power Rankings of the 2007 season.)
