Newsday editor questions Glauber Nation, BBiB!

The Newsday Internet dudes who post our stuff have a blog reference prominently displayed at the top of the sports home page. It's an easy click away, but the caption enticing readers to check us out was a bit curious.

It goes like this: "Newsday's Bob Glauber may not an expert at picking football games, but he's an expert on just about everything else in the NFL."

What do you mean, "not an expert at picking football games." Haven't you seen BBiB!'s standings of the Glauber Nation football contest? We're in first place!

Poppy is close behind, having nailed the score of Giants-Packers. Well done to you, Poppy.

Maybe the editors are referring to our attempts at picking against the spread. On that count, we are not just bad. We are Hookslide bad.

So, let's be accurate here. We have an idea who will win these games, just not by how much.

Thanks for the mention...Since the Giants have been "road warriors", let's hope their trip down the "yellow brick road" will send the Patriots down the "Road To Perdition."

The Glauber Nation Contest is infallible and can not, nay, will not be questioned. The winner of this contest must be a wizard of sorts considering the obvious combined intelligence of the bloggers in this blogosphere. Having said that, you're still a game away and only a few points up in the tiebreaker there BG. Don't count your deli sandwiches before the lunch meat is bought.

No doubt you can pick games, Bob, but you can't spell "attempts" to save your butt.

BBiB!

Well said.

Raider Cakes:

It's "attemps," no?

:)

Got it corrected. Thanks for the heads up.
