Glauber Nation prediction contest is on

Ok, BBiB! has got us thinking. He's a little troubled that we haven't been going nuts on the blog - except to goof off a little and blow off some steam amid all the intense coverage of the Giants - so we've got an idea.genie.jpg

Throughout the day, we'll offer up predictions on this weekend's divisional playoffs - which is one our favorite weekends on the pro sports calendar because of the quality of teams and the number of games.

In the meantime, we'd like YOU to weigh in on the games. We'll go from now through the Super Bowl, and see who comes out the winner.

With only seven games left to the NFL season, chances are there will be a tie in terms of won-loss record, so we'll do it this way. Give a winner and a score of each game, so we'll have a tiebreaker mechanism. Since BBiB! has all this time to goof off at work and check out our blog, he'll be our official scorekeeper and will determine a winner after the Super Bowl is over.

BBiB! Start it off, buddy.

My lunch break is almost over but I'll bite on BG's invitation. Submit this week's predictions to this posting only and I'll keep track. Next week you'll have to submit 2 more winners and then 1 Super Bowl winner. Total points for all 7 games will decide the winner in case of a tie and said winner will receive dinner with our favorite blogger - Bob Glauber - his treat. Here are the correct answers with 2 games no one else will agree with:

Pats 27 Jags 13
Chargers 20 Colts 17
Seahawks 27 Packers 24
Cowboys 34 Giants 27

Patrios 38-Jags 17
Colts 30-Chargers 10
Packers 35- Seahawks 16

Hook:

You have more than made up for the delay. Thanks for your predictions. You are now a leading contender in the weekly comment contest.

Here's my attempt at showing why I don't work in Vegas.

Patriots 31 - Jags 17
Packers 24 -'Hawks 17
Colts 31 - Chargers 14
Cowgirls 27 - Giants 17

The AFC games will be boring, both NFC games will be interesting.

BtW Hook, posting twice doesn't give you an advantage. :-)

I'm almost with BBiB, looking for some top-notch, exciting football:

Pats 27 Jags 13
Chargers 20 Colts 17
Packers 27 Seahawks 24
Cowboys 34 Giants 27

Thanks for the laugh Hookslide; it was almost as funny the second time too!

Pats 38 Jags 17
Colts 31 Chargers 21
Packers 24 Seahawks 20
Giants 27 Cowboys 24 *

* If Jessica shows up...Giants 38 Cowbaoys 10

you guys are hurting my feelings...

I know I'm a douche for the double-post...it was an accident...but Bob could have looked out for me a little and removed one of them before you guys woke up...

If I win...does it count as a tie...with myself...coz of the double-up?

Hook... if you win? You mean those were serious picks? :-)

ouch...

Hey BNG...did I see you at a Star Trek convention...?

Are you mad at me...er...um...I mean at Hookslide for some reason?

Star Trek?

What were you doing at a Star Trek convention Hook?

Dressed up as Lt. Uhura were you? How'd that work out? Do tell!!

Hook, sometimes I really wonder why you share these embarrassing stories about yourself...

I was not dressed as Uhura...
my life partner Chuck may have been, but not me...

I'm strictly a "Scotty" guy...

my therapist says it's good to share...

BTW...interesting that you knew the correct spelling and rank of Uhura...

Major props to Hook for being such a good sport...

Or is that Lt. Col props? :-)

(Btw, I honestly had to google for the correct spelling, I thought it was O'Hara... but I did know the Lt. part) :-)

How is "Chuck" ? :-)

Besides Hook, what made you think I was under the impression your gender was male? :-)

Is it to late to change my pick to packers 102 Seahawks 96? :-)
