The Patriots aren't only unbeaten ...

... but if the draft were held today, they'd have the second overall pick.

Yes, New England will be a factor for a long, long time, even though they were docked a first-round pick next year as a result of the Spygate scandal.

I wrote about the Pats' advantageous draft scenario next year, as well as a bunch of other items, in a Sunday item in the newspaper called "Hot Reads." It's a little tricky to find on our website, so here it is for your reading pleasure.

I already got a nasty e-mail from a reader who was incensed that I took offense that it was a travesty that Marion Barber III is the second leading vote-getter for Pro Bowl running backs, well ahead of Philadelphia's Brian Westbrook. That's Westbrook, the guy who just almost singlehandedly led the Eagles down the field on an opening touchdown drive against the Giants.

Whatever.

As a Jet fan, I am conditioned to hate the Dolphins, but I'm learning to hate New England.
It's just a matter of time before someone takes a 15 yard penalty and puts Brady out of a game if they try running up the score...Seriously, if they are up 3 touchdowns in the 4th and Brady is still in there, he should be very careful.
I fully expect the Pats to destroy the Pink and Gold Steelers.
The Jets season will come down to next week...the only thing they have to play for is beating the Pats...I hope they show up for that one....
Calm down Steeler fans...your team is just "okay"...you are number 3 in a two-team conference, but that's it...
I have a big advantage over all of you...I KNOW my team stinks and you think your team is good...

Welcome back, Hookslide.

Hookslide... Thanks for cheering me up after the loss to N.E. Your comments always make me laugh.
