Jets explain videotaping

Sorry for the gap between postings, but it's been a whirlwind of a day. Rock and I are still trying to connect all the dots to the story, and we'll come out with another report in tomorrow's paper.

In the meantime, Eric Mangini did admit that a Jets did attempt to videotape the Jets-Pats playoff game from the endzone in an effort to get a second endzone view, but that he did not tape any defensive signals from the Patriots. The cameraman was removed from the endzone location when he was spotted.

The Jets said they'd gotten permission from the Patriots to film the second endzone shot - which is done by some, but not all NFL teams.

Mangini said it was no big deal, but it's Jets-Pats, so everything's a big deal.

We'll keep you posted.
