Check out Terry Pluto's column in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer for his reaction to the Browns' fateful day and night.
By day, the Browns beat the 49ers at home to complete a surprising 10-6 season.
By night, they could only watch helplessly as the Titans beat the Colts' jayvee team to knock the Browns out of playoff contention.

Billick firing is over due, but this is the best move in Baltimore since Omar and Brother Mouzone took Stringer Bell out. Some "Offensive Genius", just like his former BFF and OC, this guy was a fraud from Day 1. Fascinating that two such overhyped clowns could meet in a Superbowl.
he should have put more faith in fassel.
Browns misery.. how sad ... :-)
No wonder Terry Pluto is depressed..... not only did Cleveland suffer a 'Brown-Out', but his planetary namesake got downgraded to a 'dwarf planet'. Things haven't been this sour out there since the Cuyahoga River caught fire back in June, 1969. Poor bastards, even when there's a will, there's Elway. (Note to self.... never move to Cleveland)
Happy New Year, Lake Erie, and please don't cry in your snow shovels, it just makes it that much heavier to bear. On the bright side, .... uh, er, um, oh yeah, there is no bright side...
