Worlds colliding: Best to appear on MY SHOW!!

Neil Best is so excited about getting out of the basement and into the city that he has announced his appearance later this morning on ESPN2's First Take firsttake.jpg

Of course, if I made an announcement every time I was going on ESPN2's morning show, I wouldn't have much room to write anything else on this blog, since it's a pretty regular gig. But I understand Best's excitement, and I'm delighted for him. He now gets to join in the world that Dana Jacobson and Jay Crawford have so ably hosted over the years.

They are terrific people who will now get to talk to my good buddy Best about the most boring subject on earth: the NFL Network's battle with local cable companies on the eve of tomorrow night's Packers-Cowboys game that will be seen by no one. Relatively speaking, anyway.

Break a leg, Neil!

For those that don't get the NFL Network: how are you going to watch the game, if you are?

For those that have Verizon FiOS: :)

I have NFL network. Anyone want to come over? That is if you are not an ax-carrying murderer who doesn't mind regular definiton 27 inch screen and a 16 month old who might turn the tv off because he thinks it's funny.

DirectTV is a wonderful thing. I want to know how NewsDay is ensuring their top reporter is getting access to the game? And if we can't find that out, how are they getting Bob access to the game? :-)

BBiB!

I do not have your kind of money so don't have DirectTV, although 99.9 percent of the time I will either be at an NFL game or else have access to it one way or another. Not this time. Maybe you know someone who lives near me that I could mooch their DirectTV signal from?

I think Karl is free.....

Bob has a show?

HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN???

Yes it is free, no cover.
But I am in Jersey...so that might be a problem...

Cox out here in San Diego did a deal with the NFL, so it'll be on at the house. And of course, you're welcome any time. It's better than Jersey.

Best was here once for a pregame meal during the week-long festivities surrounding SB XXXII last century. We're almost done with the remodeling project that was just getting started back then. The guest room is finished.

I don't watch Deuce much but saw your name on the digital guide from Cox on Thanksgiving so waited for your appearance, which you managed without any stammering. Your tie looked like it might have been a clip-on, but other than that you appeared very telegenic. But don't give up your day/night job, the one that includes wwwlogging.

CC:

Thanks for the offer. It might be a little tight getting there in time for the game, but your hospitality is much appreciated. I'll have to tell Best all about it.

I plan on keeping my day/night job, thanks. The tie was not a clip-in. Maybe the knot was slightly better than usual, though.
