Breaking news: The Colts DID NOT cheat

We've just learned that the NFL's investigation into complaints from the Patriots that the Colts had illegally piped in crowd noise is over. It didn't take the league long to find out that the Colts were not at fault for a crowd noise issue.

"CBS has informed us that the unusual audio moment heard by fans during
the Patriots-Colts game was the result of tape feedback in the CBS
production truck and was isolated to the CBS broadcast," NFL vice president Greg Aiello tells us. "It was in no way related to any sound within the stadium and could not be heard in the stadium."

Colts didn't cheat? Oh, ok. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Yeah, right.

Obviously they didn't.

This was the poorest officiated "big game" I have seen in a long, long time. I'm sure that the crowd noise will always be at the same level in the future. After all, the game wasn't played in Foxboro so there couldn't possibly have been any cheating involved, right NFL?

What a ridiculous ruling. If that were the case, Jim Nantz's voice would have made that stuttering sound as well.

This is actually insulting that the NFL expects us to believe that this was "tape feedback" when audio feedback sounds nothing like this. You put an audio source (microphone) next to the amplifier (speaker) and it makes a god-awful sounds that isn't a continuous, discreet audio loop like the sound was during the game.

I don't care too much about the noise, that's something they need to be able to deal with (at various levels - natural or otherwise) week in and week out. My concern is How does the NFL let such blatantly bad officiating go unaddressed? --and how much does it actually cost to buy a referee these days?

the pats were able to win despite the refs' obvious attempt to hand the game over to the Colts. Was there some financial interest in the game by the officials?

You guys are obviously pros at audio. The voice of the broadcaster doesn't have anything to do with the crowd channel, and feedback isn't always the same as when you put a microphone next to a speaker. Maybe stick to something you know what you're talking about before acting like you do.

Only Pats fans could complain after a win

They all cheat! Thinking that they don't is like pretending a politician isn't a liar. I say cheat just don't get caught and if you get caught fess up and move on!

Why are the Colts still using CDs? Get with the times, Indy.

Ha ha. Sounds exactly like a CD skipping. Its funny how the crowd noise suddenly goes away when the shut it off.
