The Eagles have downgraded QB Donovan McNabb (ankle, thumb) from doubtful to out.
Wonder if NBC now regrets not switching off the Patriots for another Football Night in America blowout. Then again, not much to choose from this week. Honestly, a pretty dull slate of games, at least on paper.

Good point. I think they saw some other potentially good games, but decided to go with the Yankee theme. (love them or hate them) The Patriots are quickly becoming the Yankees of football. For example, Browns-Texans could be good. But does the whole nation want to see that game? People will tune in to see how big of a blowout the Patriots will give Eagles, or they will tune in to watch for an upset. Truthfully, if it's a blowout, many remotes will click to something else.
I'd lean towards giving the points regardless. But given McNabb's physical and mental aliments, the Eagles have a better shot in this game with him on the bench.
