More Imus news ...

We all know the I-man was kicked off the air at WFAN for making racist and sexist remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team. This despite repeated apologies and meetings with the players and coach Vivian Stringer, as well as prominent African American leaders.

But now that he is making a comeback on WABC radio, we're hearing that he is expected to have an African American on-air personality working with him in studio. We still haven't pinned down a name, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear something more.

If Imus follows through on this plan, it will certainly create an interesting dynamic, especially given his reputation for making edgy - and sometimes over-the-edge - racial remarks. And it could go a long way toward re-establishing his credibility if he can remain relevant and more sensitive to racial issues.

(My apologies to Neil Best for barging in on his territory here, but we see from his blog that there are people hungry for Imus news. Neil is enjoying a quiet vacation, although he's still sneaking onto the computer every now and then, probably to the chagrin of Mrs. Watchdog.)

Nice Job Bob. While you're busy chasing "old, mumbling man returns to radio stories" the NFL is busy ruining your 2 blogs yesterday. Chris Henry -- he's baaaack --- and Don Shula backpedals on his asterisk comments meaning neither of your stories is relevant today. So today you write a column about the Giants NOT crumbling down the stretch this time around. Guess we can take it to the bank now that it will happen. 9-7 here they come. Angry Giants' fans should start complaining now.

BBiB!:

Now you see how quickly news and opinion become irrelevant. We will try and recover this afternooon ... fyi, don't you think the original Coach Chin is backpedaling because he read our blog and realized he was wrong?

As for Henry, there is no explaining stupidity.

Oh, and as for the Imus stuff, it is straight out of the Neil Best school of blogging - shameless attempts at getting page views. At least I restrain myself when it comes to Best's practice of posting pretty women to draw viewers.

Hey, Bob. Get us a name to go along with the Imus broadcast and I will read your blog every day for a month (during baseball season only).

yes, I am shamelessy checking this blog because I am hungry for Imus news, as I do Neil's blog. Thanks...will check several times a day..thanks, thanks, thanks...

Bob,

You can report Imus news anytime you want. You don't need the other followers of your blog to permit you to.

And as far as page views. The last thing in the Millions of Imus fans minds are who gets the most page views.

Information is key. And you have helped while Neil was on Vacation.

Now today a report in the Daily News reported that Imus hired two females that were of African American descent.

Maybe you or Neil can find more about this. Frankly Imus doesn't need any help.

Have a good Sunday.
