Chuck Culpepper says hello

We ran into former Newsday writer extraordinaire Chuck Culpepper on our trip to London. Chuck moved across the pond a while back, and is doing quite well. chuckculpepper

In fact, he has written a book - "Up Pompey: A Clueless American Sportswriter Bumbling Through English Football" - that is attracting rave reviews in England. He spent a year following a soccer team around the country. The book is due out in stores here shortly.

Chuck tells us he's a little creeped out by the cover, but there's nothing wrong with a little shock value to pump up sales.

Chuck sends his best to his former Newsday readers, who had the privilege of reading one of the most gifted writers to ever come along.

Hey I just saw a very good looking Tom Crean on ESPN's Cold Pizza.

Hey Bob. Love the new look. I'm sure it'll translate to a 10-15 percent spike in monthly hits. But I read your bio and it says you appear on the show Cold Pizza. Didn't they change the name of that show? Just trying to keep thinks up to date if we can.
