Say this much for the NFL: Despite the current trend toward firing coaches more quickly than ever, they can't hold a candle to the NHL, which already has seen its first coach firing of the season.
Oh, yes, the NHL season really has started. The Atlanta Thrashers have whacked coach Bob Hartley after just six games. Hartley has a Stanley Cup victory on his resume.

Waddell (Thrashers GM) fired Hartley to save his own neck.
Nevermind Waddell is the same guy who put together a US team that couldn't beat Kazikstan. Waddell is quickly becoming the heir apparent to Mad Mike Milbury's Teflon GM throne.
Black N Gold:
You never cease to amaze me. Brilliant in football AND hockey? Too much.
Actually Bob, Hockey is my first love. But brilliant, no one's ever called me that... :-) :-)
You see, this is why we get along so well. I, too, am a hockey freak. See? I call myself a freak, too. Don't feel so bad.
