Glauber the rabbit's foot once again

We noted this last season, when both the Giants and Jets kept winning whenever yours truly showed up at a game. We think the record was something like 8-2 before the Giants started scuffling down the stretch. rabbitsfoot.jpg

Once Giants GM Jerry Reese realized that every time he shook my hand before a game the Giants invariably won, he'd seek me out pre-kickoff just to make sure the ritual remained intact.

Well, guess what. It's happening again. At least for the Giants.

Jets? A lost cause.

This year's record: four Jerry Reese pre-game handshakes, four straight Giants wins. We missed the opener against the Cowboys and Week 2 against the Packers, instead chronicling the Patriotgate mess and the Kellen Clemens comeback in Baltimore the following week.

The Jets haven't won since.

The Giants haven't lost since.

Reese has been informed of the streak, and vows to seek us out before every subsequent game we're at.

Memo to Reese: We'll be there Sunday for 49ers-Giants.
