It's official: Jake Delhomme is out for the season with an elbow problem.
The Panthers have just announced that Delhomme will undergo season-ending surgery. It's expected that Delhomme will be fully healed by the time training camp opens next year. But as with any surgery involving a quarterback's elbow, there will surely be some uncertainty as far as the rehab process is concerned.
In the meantime, the Panthers will try and patch together and offense with quarterback David Carr, a one-time No. 1 overall draft pick with the Texans whose career took a turn after Houston released him following the 2006 season. The Texans now have Matt Schaub as the starter, and it's no coincidence that the Texans' offense is more efficient.

Dallas wins a squeaker in Buffalo. They take a late TD and two 52 yard FG's with :02 on the clock to do it.
Should be an interesting power ranking tomorrow.
