Good news for Terrell Owens

The Cowboys were holding their collective breath earlier today when they sent Terrell Owens for a precautionary MRI, and the news was all negative. Which, of course, in MRI parlance, is all positive.

A negative result on the MRI means the aching back he was having checked out showed nothing more than a strain. He'd been suffering lower back spasms, but there are no further problems, and he's expected to be back within a matter of days. The Cowboys will hold him out of their first preseason games just as a precaution, but they aren't worried in the least about his availability for the season opener against Big Blue.

(The best news of all: Any time you get can Terrell Owens name in a headline, the more likely readers will tune in. Thus, more hits to compete with psycho Newsday blogger Neil Best, who will resort to just about anything to attract readers to his twisted world.)
