Fantasy basketball quick hits
BY ADAM RONIS
Stephen Jackson had an MRI and will be out for at least two weeks due to a strained hamstring. Kelenna Azubuike should start, but you never know with Don Nelson and his erratic lineups.
Nelson said Monta Ellis thinks he's ready to make his season debut, but Nelson doesn't want to accelerate Ellis' rehab. Nelson said the team is being conservative with Ellis and he's getting close to practicing.
George Karl hasn't decided who will start in place of Carmelo Anthony. He is considering J.R. Smith, Linas Kleiza and Chucky Atkins and said it will be based on matchups. I like Smith and Kleiza to have the most value while Anthony is sidelined.
Luol Deng has missed six straight games with a sprained ankle and could return Friday.
Vladimir Radmanovic started for the Lakers Tuesday after Trevor Ariza started for one game. Radmonivic had three points on 1-for-7 in 24 minutes. Even if he starts, Ariza will have more fantasy value. He could have even more value if Lamar Odom misses time. He hyperextended his right knee and is scheduled to have an MRI Wednesday.
The Clippers are decimated by injuries right now. Mardy Collins started and had 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals and hit two three's in 45 minutes. He has short-term value while he plays significant minutes.
