A-Ron's fantasy baseball Players of the Week

National League Offensive Player of the Week -- Ty Wigginton (Astros): He went 16-for-28 (.571) with nine runs, four home runs and 11 RBIs.
American League Offensive Player of the Week -- Melvin Mora (Orioles): Another former Met gets the award. He went 18-for-32 (.562) with nine runs, three home runs and 13 RBIs.
National League Pitcher of the Week -- Johan Santana (Mets): He went 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP, including a shutout yesterday. He struck out 13 in 16 innings.
American League Pitcher of the Week -- Javier Vasquez (White Sox): Vasquez went 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA and 0.63 WHIP. He struck out 18 in 16 innings.

Any news on Duchscherer? He was a great pickup for me early, but has been just ok lately. I guess wait for the medical report, but the A's wont push him.
If you have read my items consistently, I have said to sell high on Duchscherer for quite some time. He is flying to Oakland to be examined by the team's orthopedist. He had pain his right hip, which is the same one he had season-ending surgery on last year. He'll probably miss at least one start.
