Myers to face Mets Wednesday

BY ADAM RONIS

The Phillies will recall Brett Myers from the minors and start him on Wednesday against the Mets. He allowed two earned runs in 6 2/3 innings for Single-A Clearwater last night. He also made two starts for Triple-A and one for Double-A. He went 1-3 with a 3.00 ERA and struck out 28 in 27 innings. He was sent to the minors on July 1. His biggest problem has been surrendering the home run. He has allowed 24, which still leads the majors. He is 3-9 with a 5.84 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He has the ability to turn things around.
