Furcal to have back surgery

Dodgers shorstop Rafael Furcal will have surgery on his back today and will miss two months. This is a crippling blow to his owners, who have dealt with his return many times to keep having it pushed back. (Yes, I own him).

This is my biggest blow so far... I drafted him banking on his speed and decent pop for a MI.

Do you like Alexi Casilla? He missed 7 Weeks of the season and has 32 RBI's already? But he doesnt solve my need for speed now...
Not sure how deep your league is, but Jason bartlett could be an option for speed. He has 18 steals. Casilla won't solve your speed problem -- he has four steals -- but he is hot right now.
Do you have any info on Chris Davis' minor league track record against LHPs? I'm wondering if I should sit him on Saturday against Burres.
He crushed lefthanders in Double-A last season. He struggled more against lefthanders in Triple-A this season, but that's to be expected as you move up levels because the pitching gets better. He only has three at-bats in the majors against lefties and has a homer with two strikeouts. I'd play him at this point until we see proof that he can't hit lefties.
