Braves place Jones and Hudson on the DL
BY ADAM RONIS
The Braves placed third baseman Chipper Jones and pitcher Tim Hudson on the 15-day DL. Quite an accomplishment for Jones to go almost four months without a DL stint, but this was inevitable. Now, it will save my hands some typing each night as I don't need to say Jones left tonight's game with a strained something. He has a strained left hamstring and I said to sell high even when he's hitting .400. It wouldn't be a baseball season without Jones on the DL. Hudson is sidelined with right elbow tightness.
These injuries really hurt the Braves and it means Mark Teixeira could be traded. Charlie Morton was recalled and he will start tonight.
