Early Saturday wrap

Those damn Yankees!!! For the second time in three games, not only do I see the Yankees cost me save from my closer, but I have to see them get a comeback walkoff win in the process. On a day Mariano Rivera actually gives up a homer, it becomes secondary. Instead, Johnny Damon goes 6-for-6 with the winning hit. He also scored a run and had four RBIs with his 10th stolen base. As if the Mets don't provide enough stress, then I have to watch this.
Jose Guillen started poorly and has come on strong. He went 3-for-4 with two homers and seven RBIs. He has nine homers and 45 RBIs.
Jason Giambi hit his 13th home run and still has value. Jorge Posada hit his second homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score.
I hope you listened and sold high on Brian Bannister in April. He's way too inconsistent and doesn't have great stuff.
Joakim Soria blew his first save of the season. He went 2/3 inning and allowed three hits, two runs and a walk. He has a 1.67 ERA.
Andy Pettitte was hammered, allowing 10 hits and 10 runs in 6 2/3 innings. He has a 4.99 ERA.
Alfonso Soriano hit his 15th homer.
Russell Martin went 3-for-4 with two runs, his fifth homer and three RBIs and his fifth stolen base. Matt Kemp hit his fifth homer and stole his 11th base.
Carlos Zambrano started strong, but couldn't finish that way. He allowed 13 hits, seven runs, one walk and struck out six in 6 2/3 innings to fall to 8-2.
Derek Lowe appears to be healthy. He is an underrated fantasy player. He went seven innings and allowed six hits, three runs, walked two and struck out four. He is 4-5 with a 4.15 ERA.
Vernon Wells returned from the DL and went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Jeremy Guthrie doesn't have the record to show for it, yet he has been solid. He went seven innings and allowed six hits, one run, no walks and struck out six. He is 3-6 with a 3.40 ERA.
A.J. Burnett has been very inconsistent and had one of his bad games. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings and allowed 10 hits, eight runs, four walks and struck out five. He is 5-6 with a 4.98 ERA. I wouldn't give up on him.
Hitting leadoff, Edgar Renteria went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs. He has five homers and 29 RBIs. Marcus Thames and Carlos Guillen each hit their sixth homer.
The Indians bullpen blew a win for Aaron Laffey, who rebounded from an awful start. He went 6 2/3 innings and allowed six hits, two runs, two walks and struck out two in a no-decision.
Todd Jones picked up save No. 9.
Maybe we all need vertigo. Since returning, J.D. Drew has been hot. He went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs. He is batting third with David Ortiz out and is hitting .318 with seven homers and 30 RBIs.
Manny Ramirez hit his 14th homer and has 47 RBIs. Why would you pitch to him with Sean Casey hitting behind him? Ramirez's best friend, Kevin Youkilis, went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Tim Wakefield went seven innings and allowed five hits, two runs, walked two and struck out six. He is 4-4 with a 4.33 ERA.
