Chris Young continues to drive me nuts, but at least he got the win against the Phillies. He needed 101 pitches to get through six innings. Can I get eight innings once in a while?
Trevor Hoffman has a 6.52 ERA, but picked up his fifth save.
Chase Utley hit his major-league leading 11th homer.
Josh Hamilton is an outfielder I targeted, but so did others which is why I own him in just one league. He homered and had four RBIs tonight and is batting .330 with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs.
I hope you listened and sold high on Brian Bannister. He lasted just three innings against the Rangers and allowed seven hits, seven runs, two walks and struck out three. He is 3-3 with a 4.04 ERA.
The Dodgers score 13 runs, so that means Andruw Jones had to something, right? Well, O-for-3 with a run and two walks wasn't what I was looking for. Can he get any worse?
Another guy I targeted and was fortunate to get in two leagues is Rafael Furcal. He went 5-for-6 with three runs and is hitting .381.
Hope you owners didn't give up on Matt Kemp after he didn't play much early. He will put up good numbers. He went 3-for-5 with two runs, three RBIs and two steals. He is batting .318.
Walks have hurt Chad Billingsley, but his high ceiling and ability to strike out hitters makes him someone to hold on to. Someone dropped him in my league last week and I scooped him up. He went seven innings, allowing three hits, one run, four walks and struck out eight and is 1-4 with a 5.20 ERA. His K/BB ratio is 40/17.
Ervin Santana appears to be back after an awful season. He went 6 2/3 innings and allowed four hits, one run -- no earned -- walked one and struck out three. He is 5-0 with a 2.48 ERA.
