Cubs lefthander Rich Hill is having problems finding the strike zone, so the team sent him to Triple-A Iowa. Hill walked four guys in the first inning and recorded only one out before being removed from the game against the Cardinals last night. He has walked 18 in 19 2/3 innings and he had control issues in the spring, too. The Cubs recalled pitcher Sean Gallagher. Jon Lieber will take Hill's spot in the rotation and could have some value in NL-only leagues. In 19 relief appearances, he has a 1.86 ERA.

Adam,
Do you have any idea about a time table for Hill? If not maybe your own opinion. He was immediatly dropped in my league after the news (the team owner is having a terrible season thus far) and I wouldn't mind stashing him on my bench but wouldn't mind having some kinda round about return time in my head first.
Did you try and trade Hill right before he was demoted ???
I'd say at least a month. The guy can't find the plate right now and the Cubs have exuded very little patience with him. His last start was skipped and I'm sure that fractured his confidence more. If you have the spot on the bench and won't lose a waiver spot, I could see taking a chance, but as of now, I'd stay away. I could even see him being down there until after the All-Star break. Keep an eye on his first couple of starts in the minors to get a better gauge.
I hear ya. Think I might just stash Homer Bailey away then. Article in todays paper looked good. Keep it up.
