Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo has a torn ACL in his right knee. He twisted his knee while colliding with the Cubs' Reed Johnson last night in the fifth inning. The play happened in the fifth and he remained in the game to pitch the sixth. If he has surgery, he likely would be done for the season. Dave Bush was recalled to take his spot.

People are literally bidding for Victorino. Who do you think I should try and trade him to: The owner with the best team in the league, or the owner who is always offering me rip-off deals? By the way, I'm getting Reynolds for Weeks. Reynolds can replace Bautista, and Kelly Johnson is my backup for Weeks.
I wouldn't trade Weeks for Reynolds. Reynolds strikes out way too much and his average is almost as bad as Weeks. I know Weeks has a low average, but he contributes in almost every other category. Plus, Reynolds could lose time when Chad Tracy returns from injury. Try and trade Victorino for a third baseman. Don't trade him for nothing.
Thanks. Something else just came up, though. I saw an article about Brian Wilson, so I decided to pick him up. N ow, who should I start out of these 5 relievers? Wood(good team, 5 saves), Wilson(bad team, 10 saves), Marmol(Leads all relievers in K's), Smoltz(strikeout king), or Dempster(good team, extra IP and pitching starts). I can't start Smoltz untill he's back, but that is the time that I am preparing for. Also, I know an owner who will give big for Dempster.
Obviously, start Smoltz when he returns. I'd trade Dempster if you can get something good. I think you said you start two relievers, so go with Wood and Wilson for now.
We start 3 relivers. I'm moving this to Thursday Early Wrap. I just made 2 trades, Oliver Perez for Owings, and Harang for Chris Young OF and Snell. Your thoughts? Do you think I should trade Lee for Chipper? I'd be taking on money, but I can afford it, and I'll finally be able to replace Bautista. I can replace Lee with Votto. Again, your thoughts?
The Perez for Owings deal is pretty even. I love Harang, but that deal is a good one. If it's Carlos Lee, I would do the deal, especially since your season ends in a month. I wouldn't deal derrek Lee.
I've offered 2 owners Marmol for Capps, and Byrnes and Snell for Atkins. Don't know if they'll accept. Your thoughts? And if the scorings last as they are untill Monday, I'm probably going to win my league, and the Webb autograph prize.

Obviously, getting Capps for Marmol is a no brainer. I would trade Byrnes and Snell for Atkins if you are not losing a major piece of the team. That's if you have enough to cover the loss of Snell. I'm not a big fan of Byrnes.
I do. My eligible SPs are: Owings, Dempster, Lincecum, Wolf, and Cain. I'm offering trades for Harang to the owner who didn't know about his 1-5 record until he traded for him, and is now freaking out and having a breakdown.

I would do that deal, especially since you are in dire need of a third baseman. Byrnes was overvalued this season coming off a career year in a contract season.

If you really need a closer, bump those deals up. I can't see you getting one of those starters for byrnes straight up.

The owner changed the deal. Now I'd be trading Dempster, Broxton, Bautista, and Weeks for Encarnacion, Lyon, and Hudson. I'd pick up Gorzalanny with my extra roster slot. Is it still a good deal for me with the trade changed and after Dempsters 12 K start? He set 9:00 in the morning Friday tommorow as a deadline, so I need to know fast.
That's a fair deal and you really want to upgrade at third, so I could see making that. With your season winding down, a reliever will help you more than a starter at this point.
