Liriano to start Sunday
BY ADAM RONIS
Twins lefthander Francisco Liriano will return to the major leagues and start on Sunday. Kevin Slowey will be placed on the DL. Liriano didn't have great control in his rehab starts. Owners need to be patient with him. He could struggle early on, but make sure he's not a free agent in your league.

Two quick things Adam,
The guy in my league has Liriano and is in need of pitching. If he gets shelled in his first outing do you think offering Westbrook is, well, insulting to him?
Also, twelve team league: I have the top waiver claim and Longoria is on waivers until tomorrow. Do you think it is wise to use the top waiver claim to pick up Longoria? I would be dropping Aubrey Huff, who I only picked up for that double-header the other day.
Two quick things Adam,
The guy in my league has Liriano and is in need of pitching. If he gets shelled in his first outing do you think offering Westbrook is, well, too insulting of an offer? Or would it even hurt me? I just feel like it'd be a sell high, buy low kinda offer given Westbrook last outing. I'm a big fan of Westbrook but he doesn't get the K's.
I understand your a busy guy and this next question is sorta timely if you get to it, but either way I'd like to hear your insight: Twelve team league. I have the top waiver claim and Longoria is on waivers until tomorrow. Do you think it is wise to use the top waiver claim to pick up Longoria? I would be dropping Aubrey Huff, who I only picked up for that double-header the other day.
Nope you can offer that trade. Always put something out there. At worst, it gets rejected. I would pick up Longoria. He could be sent down again, but would also be called up later. The Rays are just concerned about keeping his rights for an extra season, which is why he started the season in the minors.
Thanks bro.
