The Indians placed closer Joe Borowski on the 15-day DL today with a strained triceps. He allowed a two-run homer to Manny Ramirez in the ninth inning of a 6-4 loss last night. Rafael Betancourt is the likely candidate to take over with Borowski out. Rafael Perez and Masa Kobayashi are also possibilities.

joe borowski's injury will be a blessing for the tribe. i can't believe he still has a job as a closer. he is terrible.
I can't disagree with you, Eugene. His velocity was way down and he made every time he came in the game an adventure. There are better arms on that staff. Do you own him?
i owned him last year because i was in need of saves and dropped him mid-year. he killed my WHIP, ERA, etc. i avoided him this year.
