Sarah Palin won't be getting the Islander fan votes

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was about to jog around Philly in a New York Rangers jersey with "Palin 08" on the back.

Thanks to a run-in with two (presumably) Republicans in a hotel elevator, she wound up switching jerseys with a woman and instead wore a Donovan McNabb jersey.

Here's the story.

Hey, is that Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden over there wearing an Islanders jersey? Wow, I think it is!

That clinches it for me!

You know, if Palin had worn a Scott Gomez, jersey, it wouldn't have been so bad. But I won't have anything to do with a Diamondback president and a Rangers VP. That combination's lethal for the nation.

I'm Brooks Simpson, and I endorse this message.

Better to have a D'back and a Ranger jersey parading up and down Pennsylvania Avenue as opposed to an Iranian National Soccer Team Jersey highlighted by a French beret turned
backwards.
