Konerko: "We did our best but ran out of gas"

42774894konerko.jpgActually, the White Sox had been running on fumes for more than a month.

"When I look back on this year, I think we went exactly how far we were supposed to go with the injuries we had at the end," Konerko said.

A profound comment that many Chisox fans would agree with.

Alluding to the loss of all-stars Carlos Quetin and Joe Crede, and Jose Contreras . . .

"If we didn't have those [injuries], I think we would have made more noise because I think we would have won the division a little easier. But that happens."

Without a doubt, the Rays and Red Sox will make for a terrific ALCS.

Go Rays.

Eva Longoria plays a mean third base.

...er, you mean that's not her?

BTW ...

"We did our best but ran out of gas"

New blog slogan?

"New blog slogan?"

"We're blowing out gas, and doing our best"
