Here's a hairy question: What's the point of wearing a Rayhawk if no one can see it?

Some women in the Tampa area are now sporting a special hair-do to help cheer on the Rays in the ALCS. And it's nothing like the one worn by the woman pictured in this St. Petersburg Times photo.
This particular cut is not on the head, and it is done with bikini wax.
Get the picture?
I just wonder if any of these women will decide to show them off.
Here's more, from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
In an unrelated story, the Rays will be opening a Calamine Lotion stand on the lower concourse of Tropicana Field before Game 1 of the ALCS.

The racial undertone of the Republican campaign has moved to being the centerpiece of a campaign gone eery. Shouts for Mr Obama’s head, shouts of “kill Him”, “Terrorist”, “Hussein”, the hand and finger gestures and yes the “ THAT ONE”! In the second debate, the latter sending a chill up the spine of those who are able to understand the racial and demeaning inference, how racially insensitive for a senator who lived through the dark ages of this nation. Remember Sir,the good book says to us that it is “Out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaketh”. Senators usually refer to each other as “The Distinguished Gentleman or Woman”. I am appalled that the media, the people of this nation and the Republican Party (who will suffer the most as they try to win future black votes); did not call on Mr. McCain for a public apology on behalf of Mr. Obama. What a shame that a man who spent so much years of public service; will, in the sunset of his political career, leave such bitter taste in the mouth of his fellow colleagues and citizens. Much positives has been said of the Palin factor, but very few have talked of the divisiveness and hate-mongering that has pervaded her rallies. You’re “up on” what you are not “down on”. This party must remember that when the campaigning is over and votes has been cast and counted and the leaders are selected, we as a people will have to live together as good and respectful neighbors.
