Was Carlos Marmol out late looking for Dominican food?

Somehow missed the news that Cubs reliever Carlos Marmol was in a car accident in the Dominican Republic the other day, and his forehead gash required stitches to close.

He was driving at 2 a.m., which reminded us immediately of the Duaner Sanchez car accident in Miami in 2006, an event that completely altered his career and perhaps the Mets' fortune in 2006, '07 and maybe even '08, too.

On a somewhat related note, considering this is a Chicago story, did you notice Chicago Norm finally relented and gave us a picture and bio????
