Dang, I thought Bob Hartley was a 1970s sitcom psychologist.
I wonder what Emily and Jerry think about this.
Oh, wait, they're talking about Bob Hartley, the former Atlanta Thrashers coach.
I'm sure the first thing Garth Snow will say to him is, "Hi, Bob!" Which, basically, was the plot of every Bob Newhart Show: a stream of people saying "Hi, Bob" to Bob.
And speaking of the old Bob Newhart Show:
A. Bob's "office" was at 430 N. Michigan Ave., right across street from Tribune Tower.
B. That El train route he took home past the Merchandise Mart is way out of the way of his Lake Shore Drive apartment. It's like taking a train to the Bronx in order to go to Brooklyn.
C. There is a Bob Newhart Show statue (Bob in his psychologist's chair, facing an empty couch) at Navy Pier.
