Danica Patrick and Milka Duno scream at each other in the pit
A practice disagreement led to a heated argument between the Indy Racing League's two female drivers Saturday.
I've seen this happen on the side of the LIE a million times, but not involving two gorgeous women wearing racing suits and reeking of methanol.
Danica Patrick walked to Milka Duno's pit to confront the Venezuelan about her driving during morning practice. There was screaming and yelling and towel-throwing.
Grab some popcorn, sit back and watch the fireworks:

Bring on the mud!!!!!!!!!
Duno seems like the one eho is being unreasonable. Patrick is being painted in a bad light.
Milka's got to go.
She's totally outclassed in IRL. I doubt F1 would allow her to start.
She can't take critcism (and so cannot be taught) and when it's deservedly provided her response is to act as a spoiled child. She couldn't even form an intelligable sentence.
I won't miss her a bit.
Danica's earned her right to an opinion.
Danica is getting my nerves....the more she sucks...the more she get herself in these tit-for-tats fights.
Danica has been ingesting too much of her own Kool-Aid.
How dare she approach another professional and ask if she 'knows what she's doing?'
Does she knows what she's doing? When is she gonna win a big one? She's the Anna Kournikova of racing.
A towel should be thrown not a Danica, but in the track. Milka is too slow, and not mature enough to know when to allow someone faster to pass. She's a danger out there.
"How dare she approach another professional and ask if she 'knows what she's doing?'"
Are you kidding me ? You've obviously never raced. I can tell you first hand that a slow or erratic driver is more dangerous than an experienced albeit aggresive driver. A slow car comes right at you at speed and you can't just turn to go around him. You have to plan in advance. If you can't count on that driver staying low or high you have to hit the brakes. It can take almost whole lap to get that lost speed (and rythumn) back. That's not a small issue. Especially when the slow poke is still on the track to catch you the next time around. Pratice is a liability if you can't get up to speed.
Being a professional SCCA, Formula Ford, Nextel Cup or even F1 driver doesn't mean you know what you're doing in an IRL car. High speed, open-wheel, oval racing is like nothing else so it is very possible Milka doesn't have a clue. I'll give Danika the nod on this.
If you were a professional (at anything) you'd know that a professional has the most right to criticize another. Who else knows better? The stats speak for themselves. Danica - 1 win, 3 top fives and 8 top ten finishes in 12 races. Milka 0, 0, 0 in 8 races. Danika is 6th in points, Milka is 25th. There is no comparison here.
BTW - I don't have any favorites drivers. I respect them all - well almost all of them.
I think Duno is clueless on the track. She will cause accidents.
If you can't take criticism you got problems. If you are driving on the freeway doing 80 and you come up on someone doing 40 on the freeway what does that feel like. Now imagine going into a turn at 130+ then slowing only to be surprise by a real slow car that does not move out of the way.
All Danica wanted to do was talk to her about her driving.
Duno acted like a immature child. A true professional at anything will always at least listen to their peers if spoken too in good faith,
as Danica initially attempted to do. Duno might have even learned something from Danica if she would have shown some respect.
Duno obviously has a lot to learn both in driving and professional courtesy. And we all hope she learns it fast, before someone gets hurt out there.
Why take it out on Duno then??? A more professional approach would be back in the garages with your manager with you to speak to the driver you have issue with...Danica knows full well the media is her audience and she needs to stop being such a firecracker whiner..yes, Duno is slow but to say out loud, "I can't help it your car is slow" is like saying I am the primadonna I think I am and you are nothing and never will be...I sure hope Danica's good looks and sponsorship don't dry up too soon or she will someday be eating crow...she needs a swift kick in the rear ..she is continually acting immature and spoiled...
Milka Duno shouldn't even be in a race car. She's only there for the ogling factor after the powers-that-be saw the popularity of Danica among men. The IRL is simply trying to boost their "hotness" cred. Milka must go. She is not an IRL level driver. Maybe karting is more her level.
Troll
"Are you kidding me ? You've obviously never raced..."
It's one thing to throw insults at someone anonymously, but it's quite another to speak your mind with class, as I did.
"If you were a professional (at anything) you'd know that a professional has the most right to criticize another. "
That's something you should have kept to yourself. You know nothing about me, but your idiotic post told me plenty about you.
I doubt it you are professional driver, either or you'd be racing and be paid for it, rather than blogging about it.
I reiterate my point, Danica Patrick is arrogant and believes too much of her press. She hasn't won anything worth mentioning and had no right to confront her colleague in public. Any professional, including myself, will tell you that.
The Anna Kournikova of racing!
This happens all the time between male drivers. Who cares?
Milka is a road racer and she know what she is doing. She has won in the Grand-Am series. Those Daytona Prototypes she has won in are very hard to drive and she knows what she is doing. Just because Danica couldn't pass her doesn't mean Milka shouldn't be racing.
Sorry, but I'm behind Danica here. I've followed Milka since her early days in ALMS and she was godawful slow there. Her wins (? I only remember one) in Grand-Am was only because she had an excellent co-driver and she only drove the absolute minimum she could get away will. She has been totally outclassed in Indy Cars and is dangerous out there.
Now, I will say she is hotter than hell and I cherish the pic I have with us together at Fontana.
"Now, I will say she is hotter than hell and I cherish the pic I have with us together at Fontana."
LOL!
I don't know about anyone else, but I got extremely turned on by watching these two almost getting into a fight.
I think this is obsurd. It amazes me that so many people think that Danica is a whiner. Do you people forget that this is a job?
Let's go back briefly to the Indy 500, when Briscoe to her out and himself out of the race in the pits no less. It was said that she had no chance to win anyway, and that may be true...but she could have finished 8th instead of 22nd. Do you have any idea what the difference in earnings is from 8th to 22nd at the Indy 500?
TENS OF THOUSANDS. Not let me ask you all how pissed you would be if someone like Milka took you out of a race? Or was too slow on the racing line during qualifying, and cost you a better start? I am not saying that Milka can't drive a car, or race a car for that matter....she can't seem to race and IndyCar.
Consider another similar situation in FormulaOne. When near champion, and one of the best drivers in the world, Lewis Hamilton was off the pace and on the racing line during qualifying and was penalized 5-10 grid places and never managed better than a 5th place finish. He probably would have won the race otherwise.
The bottom line, this stuff does matter. I wonder what you will do the next time that someone does something to effect you and your performance in you own job.
By the way, Danica gets the crap about "When will she win a race?" , "When will she win a big race?"...anybody ask that question to Vitor Meira? He has started over 80 Indy races and never won once.
If anything, I think that Milka is jealous because she sucks. I think that many of the guys are jealous because they can't beat her...and I think that Danica has taken her lumps for not winning, and crashing more so than anyone else has.
Last, thing...remember Dan Wheldon complaining about Danica? He's sucked for the last 5 races. Scott Dixon complaining about Danica, and he spins during a yellow and takes out Briscoe?, Brisoce blames Danica for the Indy 500 pit incident and how well has he finished this year? Is that Karma?
Dunno can't drive. She is ususally at the end of the pack or a lap down. She is outclassed and cannot perform in the IRL or F1 (like they would ever allow her to join F1).
Dunno is outclassed, outdriven, and dangerous on to have on the track. Dunno is jealous that Danica is more popular than her and is lashing out like a spolied little teenager.
Danica is a better driver, can stay with the pack and has proven that she can win. Not to mention she is a hell of a lot hotter than Dunno. :P
Brooks is right - who cares? Male drivers yell and curse and throw helmets at each other all the time. Now women have proven that they can let each others driving styles get to each other as well. Yay for equality?
And Secola, the anonymous guy is correct, racing peers (such as Danica / Duno) are the only people who can really make judgement calls on each other's skills since they are in the same sport. When an announcer tells me Lewis Hamilton had a great drive in Hockenheim this past weekend I think "yeah, ok" - but later when I read that Shumaker commented that Hamilton drove an amazing race at Hockenheim I take more stock in that because of Shumaker 's renown skill.
Who does Danica think she is to storm over there and try to tell Milka how to drive? She's won ONE race in FOUR seasons (Will Power and Graham Rahal are both ROOKIES that have won a race and neither one have the advantage of being on the Andretti-Green team). Secondly, if you watch the footage of the actual "incident", Milka's "blocking" was her actually following the turn in the course (it's not Milka's fault if Danica can only manage to make left turns). Finally, nearly EVERY single race Danica is being warned by the IRL to stop blocking drivers. Now I ask, how many accidents has Danica caused....and she's telling others how to drive?
Danica is out of line. If one of my peers walked up to me and asked in such an insulting manner "Do you know what the F you're doing?" I'd probably tell them to "F off", which is exactly what Milka did.
Danica may be the better driver but for her to give anyone a hard time about blocking is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Though Milka's response was innapropriate, I understand her anger as she was right, Danica was trying to create a show and her dramatics are getting old real quick. Just like it did with Tony Stewart whos light years better than Danica.
Personally, I think both ladies could take lessons in professionalism from Sarah Fisher.
This isn't the first time Danica has gone to another drivers pit to voice her little ol' opinion. When she gets out of her car and stomps around, she looks ridiculus. Try that kind of stuff at a good old mid-west dirt track some Saturday night and there would be a lesson taught !!!
All the negatives against Danica are from males who just can't stand the fact that she is as good as she is. If u want to make a rule where drivers can not confront each other while on track then that will also apply to the hotheaded male drivers too.
Badly need your help. You create your opportunities by asking for them.
I am from Guyana and too bad know English, give please true I wrote the following sentence: "These are individual digital clocks with lcds that easily mount next to each other on a wall."
Thank you so much for your future answers :-(. Dolly.
Hi guys. The roses, the lovely notes, the dining and dancing are all welcome and splendid. But when the Godiva is gone, the gift of real love is having someone who'll go the distance with you. Someone who, when the wedding day limo breaks down, is willing to share a seat on the bus.
I am from Ecuador and learning to write in English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Desousa llc animated clock company east th."
