Tyler Kepner comes through, as expected
Loyal Final Score reader Tyler Kepner correctly identified Chad Moeller as the player barreling into Mike Piazza in the photo in this item.
Jonathan Ross gets half credit for guessing Moeller or Craig Counsell.
Tyler, just for you. Thanks to www.newsday.com for the photo (yes, it was ours).
Tyler has to be way ahead in the Final Score bonus points race. We are not keeping track of that one.
I didn't realize until today that I stole "Final Score bonus points" from Neil Best, who offers "bonus WatchDog kudos" when he asks a question.
Neil has an interesting item today about Lee Mazzilli's defense on SNY of Willie Randolph and the whole "off-the-record" debate.
I once was having an "off-the-record" conversation with a New York athlete one day when a reporter from another news organization walked by, heard a comment and used it in his story the next day. You can take guesses about who the reporter is, but I will neither confirm nor deny his or her identity. But he or she knows who he or she is. No Final Score bonus points are at stake.
How are you guys liking Chicago Norm? It's interesting to get a look inside his mind. I used to work next to him five nights a week. Let me assure you -- what you see here is only a small portion of what's inside his mind.
Next up: The Subway vs. The El.
