Tom Arnold says that we are bad people

cubsfoul1.JPG

In a promo running on Chicago's version of SNY/YES, "comedian" Tom Arnold says that anyone who doesn't like the Cubs is a bad person because it's been 100 years since they won the World Series.

I'm guessing that most New Yorkers couldn't give a subway token whether the Cubs go another 100 years before they win the World Series. Epecially Mets fans who think their team can still make a run.

But just for the sake of argument: Do you think the Cubs deserve to win the 2008 World Series as a reward for 100 years of futility?

No. They would probably behave worse than the Red Sox fans/bandwagonneers did after the finally won in 2004. The best reason for another 100 years of futility for the North Siders.

Comedian in quotes.
Sublime, Chicago Norm, sublime.
