Lou Whitaker uses a hyphen to add in his nickname

I was just surfing around one of my new favorite sites - Gem Mint Ten - a site dedicated to finding old baseball cards and making fun.

Great stuff.

Anywyay, I love this Lou Whitaker card they found, not because of the card but because of his autograph.

He writes Sweet-lou, with a hyphen.

Gotta love that.

Secondly, he doesn't capitalize lou.

(Who are we to make fun: baseball-reference says he made $19.7 million in his playing career.)

I'm going to get some ice cream from the Shea Stadium press room.
