Let's all agree - the Patriots are really, really big cheaters

I've read several stories this morning about how former Patriots employee Matt Walsh has handed over the tapes of other teams' signs to the NFL, but the Super Bowl XXXVI walk-through was not one of them. So what!?!?

Why does this now guarantee the Patriots didn't tape that walk-through? Are we're supposed to take the Pats at their word? Hopefully Walsh tells us what he says to the commish. Still, isn't anyone else bothered by the FACT that the greatest NFL dynasty in decades has been illegally taping other teams' signs for eight years?!?!

Then I hear Boomer Esiason on WFAN this morning saying he hopes Walsh is happy he got his 15 minutes and we can call an end to this. Huh? And don't even get me started on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell destroying the evidence...

Okay, I'm going to make some coffee. Decaf.

You are an idiot, I feel stupider for reading this. You are aware they taped what an entire football stadium can sit around an watch right?

This should prove interesting. If the NFL lets the Pats off, then the league that's so upset about gambling when it comes to the integrity of the game doesn't care about cheating.

Jim, I'm with you on this one and I'm a fan of a team not at all affected by this (49ers). Jason, it sounds like you're the idiot here. Let's see, for a fan, in a football stadium to do enough to benefit from this they would 1. need binoculars, 2. need to write very fast, and 3. be able to evaluate the play based on the signals they wrote down, very quickly or, take their notes and try and line them up with something they taped from another source separately. While it's possible, it's VERY difficult. The point is, the Pats cheated and they cheated consistently. The only reason they didn't make the Pats forfeit the game against the Jets was for fear of what Vegas and the rest of the gambling community might do...that uproar would have been bad.

Does anyone really believe that Belichick is the only coach to ever do this? Why do you think the NFL has tried so hard to burn all the evidence and bury this as soon as possible? It's because this type of cheating is widespread and Goodell obviously doesn't want it to be a free-for-all around the league. I'm sure Belichick knows plenty about other team's methods, but has been told by the NFL to take his medicine on this one and let it go.
