Today's Mets / Yankees thoughts

Ryan Church
METS: Ryan Church, All-Star?

If he keeps playing the way he has, yes. But here's what would worry me: Church is hitting .342. He's a career .276 hitter. Unless he all of a sudden has turned into Rod Carew, he's going to slip back to this normal stats. So there are a lot of outs left in that bat.

YANKEES: Mike Mussina pitched great two days after Hank Steinbrenner rips him?

You know what The Boss would do? He would take credit for motivating Mussina. If Hank is really going to be the new Boss, he has to tell someone how Mussina responded to his prodding.

Exactly what I was thinking as I was watching the game. Hank's got to respond quickly, or he'll show he's still a Steinbrenner in training.

Have you ever thought that there might be Hank Rules for breaking him into his new role at a measured pace?
