Today's Mets / Yankees / Liza thoughts

METS: As our colleague Ken Davidoff points out today, the weak link in the Mets' bullpen is Aaron Heilman. But I'll go one further: The Mets will never win a championship with Heilman and Billy Wagner as their 8th/9th inning duo. In a big spot or big series, you can always count on one or both of them to give it up. The Mets need to develop their own closer for when Wagner leaves. Hopefully for them, first-round pick Eddie Kuntz will be that guy.
YANKEES: Andy Pettitte might be a (very sorry) HGH trier and a (very sorry) obfuscator and maybe even a little bit of a (very sorry) liar, but the man can pitch. He's been getting a pass on the HGH stuff because he's one of the few to come clean (after he was caught) and the media and fans like him. If the Yankees are going to have any chance this season, he needs to stay healthy.
The picture doesn't have anything to do with anything. But I like it.
