On NFL Draft day, a flashback to another draft

There are no good MLB transactions that occurred on this date, so let's look back at a random MLB amateur draft. Why MLB? For starters, I don't get excited about the NFL draft - even 10 minutes between picks will have me bored by the sixth pick. And who doesn't like looking back at old drafts to see what happened to the players?

So here's some interesting first-round picks from the 2000 MLB draft:
1... Marlins... Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
6... Rays... Rocco Baldelli, OF
7... Rockies... Matt Harrington, P (Google this guy. He has some story...)
15... Phillies... Chase Utley, 2B
16... Mets... Billy Traber, P (Wonder where he is now? Hmmmm)
21... Giants... Boof Bonser, P
28... Yankees... David Parrish, C (Whoops)
29... Braves... Adam Wainwright, P

Amazingly, I didn't recognize any other names.
