Here's how bad the Yankees offense has been:

The Yankees' 25 runs is the third fewest in the major leagues so far.

Just once in the past 30 years have the Yankees scored 25 or less runs in their first nine games.

That was in 1989 with the team that was managed by Dallas Green and Bucky Dent and finished 74-87.
