Ask Anthony, Jose Reyes edition

Jose Reyes
Q: What is wrong with Jose Reyes?
Is it to early to panic?
Toni R., Ridgewood

Q: I have to agree with the mets carlos beltan, jose reyes should be left alone and play his game his way thats to have fun and if high fiving and dancing is his way of enjoying the game so be it! what do you think of this?
Ed A., Mastic Beach

A: Toni, Jose Reyes probably got a little too big for his britches once everyone started telling him how great he was. That's my guess.
Is it too early to panic? No. It's never too early to panic. Go right ahead.
Ed, I agree with you 100 percent. Reyes can dance all he wants. After a home run, while he's rounding third base, in front of the dugout, on the dugout. He can do a backflip at shortstop a la Ozzie Smith if he wants. As long as you (and he) are OK with the idea that the other team has the right to be ticked off at him when he does it and has the right to a) stick one in his ear the next time up or b) slide in spikes high the next time he's turning a double play.

Hi haters! Leave that boy alone. Attitudes like his keep the team hype; spirits high and in a winning mood. Why shouldn't he celebrate? He is a good player. If he should suffer a career ending injury, at least he enjoyed it while he had it. Everyone should celebrate our accomplishments, talents, and LIFE! I hope he and his teammates have a great season. I'm about due for a Mets world series jersey.
