It was pretty quiet over the weekend in the NBA. Well, it was quiet as far as moves go. Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy can still be heard ripping agent David Falk for his meddling in the Elton Brand defection to Philadelphia.
There should be more news this week. James Posey, who probably won't get more than a two-year deal from the Boston Celtics, is expected to decide on soon (possibly on Monday) where he'll play next season. Posey is 31 so it makes sense that he wants a four-year deal. The Boston Globe is reporting that Cleveland, Washington and Detroit are in the running.
Speaking of the Pistons, they're clearly looking to shake things up. First, there were media reports of interest in Carmelo Anthony. Now ESPN reported over the weekend that the Pistons are looking into the possibility of acquiring Tracy McGrady.
However, The Detroit Free Press reported the Pistons are not close to a deal for McGrady.
There could be some other minor signings this week, such as Tyronn Lue, etc.
