Posey leaning to Celtics

The Boston Globe is reporting today that James Posey, the key reserve who always seems to come up big, still favors the Boston Celtics as his top choice.

Posey is cooling on the idea of returning to his hometown of Cleveland to play for the Cavaliers.

Detroit, New Orleans, Washington, and the Lakers are also interested in obtaining Posey.

The Globe also reported that Eddie House, the sometimes backup to emerging star point guard Rajon Rondo, is also leaning toward a return to the Celtics.

Good news for the Celtics and bad for the rest of the East. Posey, House and Leon Powe are the key bench players for the World Champs. Sam Cassell said he's playing again, but he'll be rested until the playoffs. P.J. Brown could also return, but he'll also likely not play too much during the regular season.

And with a solid draft by GM Danny Ainge, the Celtics will once again be the team to beat.
