What are the chances that the Knicks trade Malik rose for Mark Blount and a lottery protected first round pick. That puts the heat at 16 million instead of 8 million so they can make a run at Carlos Boozer. D-wade is in the prime of his career and he needs help right now, and since boozer lives in Miami during the off-season and Miami's lack of bigs, this sounds like the perfect fit.

Your fixers are dying for a fix! Please give up the latest trade rumors (and please, no Marbury talk). Peace out.

Hey, Terrence...The Miami Heat owe Minnesota a 2009 1st RD Pick (top 10 Protected)...So, that pick is most likely to go to Minny...

Hey Alan, do you think Donnie Walsh and Co. are now regretting the Gallinari selection at 6, especially since Eric Gordon (11.9 pts, 1.9 asts, 29.3 min) was still on the draft board? Everyone is asking for a SG, especially since the poor play of Q-Rich, and Gordon would have easily provided that. He is a prolific scorer, who actually plays good defense, and can play some spot minutes at PG. In addition, we might be losing Nate in the off-season, so Gordon could have fit as a replacement if he couldn't make it as a starting SG. If Walsh knew he was going to try to trade Crawford's contracts, why didn't he draft a SG in the draft? How do you select a player in Gallinari, who you haven't even seen play live IN PERSON? How was Walsh convinced by the Knicks Scouts, who were begging him to draft Gallinari? By the way, Alan, what position do you think the Knicks will target in the 2009 NBA Draft? Honestly, I want the Knicks to get James Harden for SG, but I know he will be gone in the Top 5. If the Knicks end up selecting 8th or lower, I want the Knicks to target PG-Jennings, SF-Clark, or PF-Patterson.

Calm down guys. The server is now overloaded w/ BS. Just cuz it works on ESPN doesn't mean its feasable or advisable to make those trades. You guys seem to think that Zeke works for all 30+ clubs.

It has become clear that the sooner we move the pieces (i.e. Nate, Lee, Curry, etc..) that are not an integral part of 2010, the better off we will be. If management is on a 3 year plan and no one on the current roster has been confirmed as part of that plan, other than Galinari and Chandler, then we need to understand that there is something to be said about adopting a loser's mentality. Get the right players in here now and develop the chemistry around the players who will be here in 2010. DW has to get what he can before the deadline and construct a team that will compete in 2009 season.

Dorsey update from the D-League Showcase: not good

http://www.draftexpress.com/blog/D-League-Blog/#D-League-Showcase--Day-One-3074

"Dorsey’s first appearance in the D-League Showcase did not go over quite as well…Suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, Dorsey came into the game looking like he clearly did not want to be here. He looked wholly disinterested in doing anything when the ball was not in his hands, playing absolutely no defense, refusing to box out for rebounds (grabbing an incredibly uncharacteristic 4 defensive rebounds in 39 minutes) and completely ignoring his responsibilities getting back on defense. He looked very unfocused, showed bad body language, and generally made a mockery out of his “assignment” down here.

The worst part that he did all this with his general manager Daryl Morey (the man who traded for him on draft night, praised him effusively and gave him a 3-year contract) was sitting in the second row—obviously not happy with what he was seeing. “Disappointed” was all he was willing to say to us…on the record. There really wasn’t much more to be said, it was that bad. The big problem is that it’s exactly these type of issues that teams were worried about during the pre-draft process—his background, character and intangibles, and he’s unfortunately not doing much to show that he deserved otherwise. Dorsey needs to realize that his place in the NBA is anything but secured at this point in his career—there have been plenty of second round picks who didn’t last more than half a season in the NBA and never got another shot again. If he’s not careful, he could find himself meeting the same fate if he refuses to change his ways."

Lee played some good defense on Dirk. Dirk had only 10 pts.
